Let the Fringin’ begin. The 19th Montreal Fringe Festival will get going with a bang and quite the twang tonight (june 11) at 7 at Parc des Amériques with a free bash featuring local bluegrass heavyweights the United Steel Workers of Montreal along with everyone’s fave musical fricassee, Lake of Stew.

Once again, the Fringe covers the gamut, from outside-the-box theatre to dance to music to clowning to hard-core satire. The show titles say it all: Perverts!, Piss in the Pool, Jem Rolls’ Leastest Flops, A Girl Named Ralph, The Hefner Monologues, Dracula in a Time of Climate Change, How Does a Drug Deal Become a Decent Third Date? and the much-anticipated 3 Ways to Handle a Telemarketer.
