MONTREAL — A funeral service will be held Monday morning in Montreal for former boxing champion Arturo Gatti.
Gatti's mother told The Canadian Press that his body is expected to be returned from Brazil on Friday and the service will take place in a church in the city's Little Italy district.
Meanwhile, a lawyer representing Gatti's wife has asked that she be released from jail.
Amanda Rodrigues is being held on accusations that she strangled the former boxing champ with her purse strap as he drunkenly slept.
