Not too long ago this column referred to Formula One czar Bernie Ecclestone as a ``repellent little ferret.'' For that comment, we hereby apologize to repellent little ferrets everywhere.
Instead, we would like to refer to a column by Maureen Dowd of the New York Times, who was writing on another diminutive tyrant, North Korea's Kim Jong-il. Dowd quoted movie director Billy Wilder on the subject of vertically challenged agent Swifty Lazar.
``That man should go hang himself from a bonsai tree,'' Wilder said.
