New Fashions In Old Montreal

Models, hockey stars, and media celebrities walked down the catwalk in Old Montreal Tuesday night for the opening of the 17th edition of Fashion Week.

For the next three days local and international designers are showing off their work at Bonsecours Market.

Former Montreal Canadien turned Ottawa Senator Alex Kovalev was among those strutting down the runway, along with his wife, to model fashion for Envers.

Amidst the stylish fall and winter collections slated for showcase at Montreal Fashion Week, industry insiders will be talking shop on how to stay afloat in tough times.

Award-winning journalist, writer and editor Georgia Lee, who worked as Atlanta bureau chief for Women's Wear Daily for 20 years, will be the keynote speaker of Recessionistas: How the Fashion Industry Can Survive the Economic Downturn on Tuesday, one day after Fashion Week kicks off its 16th edition at historic Bonsecours Market in Old Montreal.
