Price A One-Man Show In 2-0 Loss -- Montreal Gazette

NASHVILLE – Carey Price did everything he could to keep the puck out of the Montreal net.

His teammates didn’t do nearly enough to put the puck in the Nashville net.

The result was a 2-0 win for the Predators, who fired 55 shots at the beleaguered Price. Price kept the Canadiens in the game until Steve Sullivan scored his second goal of the night at 12:59 of the third period while the Predators were enjoying a two-man advantage. Jason Arnott won the faceoff in the Habs’ zone and Sullivan scored on a rebound after Price made a save on Shea Weber.

Tycoons Line Up For Canadiens

From The Montreal Gazette:

Today's deadline to get name in; Almost every Quebec multi-millionaire said to be interested in purchasing team.

Officially, the Canadiens aren't even on the block.

Unofficially, they're now the grand prize in a tycoon version of The Price Is Right.

For the record, the hockey club is saying very little beyond last month's admission that BMO Capital Markets was retained by the Gillett family to "assess various strategic alternatives to optimize value" of their Canadian assets.

But according to several media reports, today is the deadline for interested parties to confirm their interest and make a preliminary offer to stay in the running for potential acquisition of the team.
