This, gerbils & germs, is where we need to apply the rules of the world of pro sports to big business. If Perreault was running a franchise anywhere in the NHL, he would be soooo fired.
Ditto the CEOs of AIG, Citigroup, the Bank of America, the list goes on and on. Hundreds if not thousands of corporate executives larding on the bonuses after they put the global economy into a death spiral.
It's all about arrogance and entitlement. It's the way Perreault behaves. And Alex Rodriguez. And the CEOs on Wall St. And Manny Ramirez.
In sports, they can't fire the players, so the bosses get it in the neck. That means GMs and coaches. Hasta la vista. Oh, and here's your bonus: we won't send you to Gitmo.
