Canadiens Outshine Stars 3-1 -- The Montreal Gazette

DALLAS – Alex Kovalev was able to find the silver lining in the cloud that hung over the Canadiens in the first period of their game against the Dallas Stars Sunday night.

“With all those penalties, we had a chance to work on our defence,” said Kovalev, who would go to score the winning goal on a night when the Canadiens rebounded from a horrendous first period to post a 3-1 victory.

The first period was an embarrassment for the Canadiens and they were lucky to come out of it trailing 1-0.
