The battle between Sergei Kostitsyn and Mikhail Grabovski that everyone expected Saturday night never materialized.
In fact, the Montreal Canadiens as a team didn't put up much of a fight in this one, a 5-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Carey Price, who was supposed to have the night off until Jaroslav Halak showed up sick at the Bell Centre, did not look good at all on any of the Leafs goals, all long shots that eluded the struggling goaltender.
The Canadiens have now lost seven of their last nine games and embark on a tough six-game road trip that could make or break the team's season.
