A Montreal woman who called emergency services 10,000 times over a 15-month period will avoid going to jail.
A Quebec court judge on Friday sentenced Marie-Ève Dean to a seven-month suspended sentence and ordered her to continue anger management therapy. She will also not be allowed to own a cellphone.
Dean, 23, pleaded guilty last year to mischief, conspiracy and not complying with an undertaking for placing thousands of calls to the emergency services line between January 2006 and April 2007.
