Julie Payette and seven other astronauts have been given the go-ahead from NASA for their mission aboard shuttle Endeavour on Saturday morning at 7:17.
Payette, who was the first Canadian to visit the International Space Station in 1999, will be joining Robert Thirsk – who has completed the first month of his six-month mission – thus marking the first time that two Canadians are in space simultaneously.
