The ADQ will choose a new leader Oct. 18, and those interested in running for the leadership of the party have until Aug. 18 to toss their hats into the ring.
Initially, the party wasn't slated to pick a replacement for Mario Dumont until February 2010.
Three candidates have so far entered the leadership race: Éric Caire, MNA for La Péltrie; Christian Lévesque, former MNA for the riding of Lévis, and former ADQ finance critic Gilles Taillon.
