Players dish out 380 meals only hours after pounding Calgary Stampeders 32-11
MONTREAL – It has been a tough year for Carl Lawrence.
His girlfriend committed suicide, and he ended up living on the street.
“But I still have the will to live, and I’m thankful for that,” Lawrence, 49, said while waiting for dinner Monday night at the Welcome Hall Mission’s shelter at St. Antoine and Versailles Sts.
“Whether or not we’re successful in life, we do the best with what we have.”
