Would link with downtown; Route, cost estimates to be known in June, transportation executives say
The long-discussed train shuttle between downtown and Trudeau airport should be in place in four to six years, the two executives overseeing the project said yesterday.
A key question - whether the train will take CN tracks to and from Central Station, or CP tracks with the Lucien L'Allier station as its downtown base - will be answered by June, said James Cherry, chief executive of the Aéroports de Montréal, and Joël Gauthier, CEO of the Agence métropolitaine de transport.
