QUEBEC — Quebec is the worst province to live in when it comes to access to family doctors and frontline care services, according to a report from Quebec’s provincial health commissioner.
But Robert Salois stressed the solution is not hiring more practitioners or getting the private sector involved.
“We can achieve good results with the resources that we have. What we need to do is reorganize the services,” said Salois, who was appointed in 2007 by then Quebec health minister Philippe Couillard to a five-year term.
