Quebec May Spend Another $400M On The Big Owe

About $400 million could be spent to renovate Montreal's Olympic Stadium if the Olympic Installations Board gets its way, just 2½ years after Quebec finally paid off its $1.5 billion debt from the 1976 Summer Games.
The board has already approved a new roof design for the stadium that will cost between $75 million and $100 million.
That decision will include a large hidden cost, according to a government source, because the new roof is metal, and thus heavier. The concrete tower and roof supports will have to be upgraded, which is estimated to cost another $300 million.
