Charest Backs 'Accommodation' For Minorities

The issue of "reasonable accommodation" flared up again at the Quebec national assembly Wednesday, as Premier Jean Charest said members of minority religious groups should get to choose to take their driving tests with examiners of the same sex.

The issue was brought up by Parti Québécois Leader Pauline Marois, who was reacting to an advisory opinion issued by the province's Human Rights Commission at the request of the auto insurance board, SAAQ.

My Comment: I give credit to Premier Charest on this issue .... he is playing with French Quebecois Xenophobia, and he is not backing down.
