Mayor 'was ready to waste hundreds of millions of dollars' on water-meter deal, rival says.
MONTREAL – An overpriced water-meter deal means Montreal Mayor Gérald Tremblay is in no position to preach municipal poverty, one of his rivals for the job said Friday afternoon.
"Gérald Tremblay was ready to waste hundreds of millions of dollars on a contract that was too big and too expensive," Vision Montreal candidate Louise Harel added.

My Comment: This is the tea pot calling the coffee pot black. If Louise Harel had a history of being prudent with finances she would be a shoe-in for this election. Unfortunately .... as a tax and spend socialist she does not.
