From The CBC:A dozen organizations are scheduled to oppose Hydro-Québec's latest request for a rate increase as the province’s energy board began hearings on the request, Monday.
The utility is seeking a 0.2 per cent rate increase effective April 1, 2010.
Hydro-Québec said the increase is justified because the company must conform to new international accounting methods for the amortization of the assets of Hydro-Québec Transport and Hydro-Québec Distribution by 2011.

My Comment: Every year it is the same .... a rate increase. And even though Hydro Quebec makes billions of dollars .... the Quebec taxpayer never sees a dime.
