MONTREAL – Momentum can be fickle.
The Boston Bruins had momentum on their side early in the second period of their game against the Canadiens last night. They were outshooting the Canadiens 7-3 in the period and were presented with a 5-on-3 advantage for a full two minutes when Maxim Lapierre and Jaroslav Spacek were whistled off for gratuitous violence while protecting goaltender Carey Price.
