MONTREAL It was a sky of blue and sea of good cheer above and along Ste. Catherine St. on Wednesday as the city of Montreal staged a upbeat Grey Cup parade for the victorious Montreal Alouettes.
Under a bright sun and amid unseasonably mild temperatures, fans lined both sides of the parade route in large numbers. It was the Als’s sixth Grey Cup, and the victorious parade took the same route that Stanley Cup parades do – “the usual route,” as former mayor Jean Drapeau used to say.
