From ESPN:

The Montreal Canadiens signed defenseman Patrice Brisebois to a one-year contract on Friday.

The team did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, but a source told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun the contract is worth $750,000. As part of the deal, Brisebois can earn another $750,000 in bonuses.

Brisebois, 37, had three goals and eight assists in 43 games last season with the Canadiens.

Montreal also acquired veteran forward Robert Lang on Friday from Chicago for a second-round pick in the 2010 NHL draft. He had 54 points in 76 games last season for the Blackhawks.
