Habs Rally To Clinch Playoff Berth -- Montreal Gazette

BOSTON – If you liked what you saw when the Canadiens and the Bruins did battle, you're in luck because there's a good chance they'll be meeting again in the first round of the playoffs.

The Canadiens rallied from a 3-1 deficit and took the Bruins into overtime before losing 5-4 on Mark Recchi's second goal of the game.

There was some disappointment that the Canadiens couldn't hold on to a 4-3 lead in the third period, but the point they earned for taking the game into overtime was all they needed to assure themselves of a playoff berth.
