Habs' Playoff Hopes Ride On Price

Goaltending is often regarded as the key to success in the playoffs and the Canadiens-Bruins series, which begins tomorrow night in Boston

(7 p.m., CBC, RDS, CJAD Radio-800), offers an intriguing matchup in the nets.

The Canadiens are pinning their hopes on Carey Price, the 21-year-old who has lost more games than he has won this season. Statistically, he has regressed after a strong rookie season, but he said he has learned some lessons that will help him in the postseason.

The Bruins will counter with Tim Thomas, a career journeyman who can celebrate his 35th birthday today by looking back at a career season. He posted the lowest goals-against average in the National Hockey League (2.10), the best save percentage (.933) and ranked sixth in wins with 36.
