Quebec Bikers Slow Traffic To Protest Insurance Rate Hikes

MONTREAL — Hundreds of Quebec motorbike aficionados spent the weekend parked in front of the legislature, protesting massive hikes in registration fees for their vehicles.

It was the 16th in a string of regular and very visible weekend protests bikers have staged since April - dubbed Operation Snail.

The protesters drive en masse along Quebec highways at minimum speeds, protesting the increases by the province's automobile insurance board.
