QUEBEC — Michael Ryder and Chuck Kobasew scored as the Boston Bruins downed the Montreal Canadiens 2-1 in an NHL pre-season match-up Sunday night before packed grandstands at the Quebec Colisee.
Josh Gorges scored in the third period for Montreal (2-2).
Rookie Tuukka Rask had a strong game in goal for the Bruins (3-1), who were officially the home team even if the fans appeared to support the Canadiens, the once-bitter rivals of the defunct Quebec Nordiques.
