MONTREAL - TV talk-show host Marie-France Bazzo sat down with novelist Nelly Arcan last November and got right to the point.
“In everything I’ve read about you, you come across as a tough person, a bitch,” Bazzo told her guest. “So my first question is: Are you a naive, dreamy princess somewhere inside?”
Arcan, the 35-year-old author of Putain (Whore) and Folle, brought a black-leather-gloved hand to her face and smiled slightly, glancing away.
