Leading MD Calls For Air Abulances

There are 200 to 250 “Natasha Richardson” cases annually in Quebec, a leading medical aviation and trauma expert said yesterday.

“We’re talking about people who died, or who survived with traumatic brain injury,” said Dr. Michael Churchill-Smith, director of professional services at the Montreal General Hospital.

“And the state will pay for them forever,” he said of those victims who remain in comas or paralyzed.
