Quebec Municipal Elections May Be Upstaged By Federal Vote

Municipal politicians in Quebec are getting an early start on their campaigns for the Nov. 1 vote to choose councillors and mayors because they are worried all attention will be on a federal election by that time.

The possibility of duelling election campaigns prompted Gatineau Coun. Luc Anger to launch his re-election campaign at the Quai des Artistes on Monday.
