MONTREAL -- Dustin Hoffman and Paul Giamatti are in town this week filming Barney’s Version, the $30 million big-screen adaptation of the late, great Montreal author Mordecai Richler’s iconic 1997 novel. Shooting began here Monday, following two weeks of production on location in Rome, and the ambitious Canadian-Italian co-production will continue to film in and around the city until the end of October.
