No subsidy for event featuring FLQ manifesto.
Premier Jean Charest has rejected Parti Québécois leader Pauline Marois's call for him to apologize for "politicizing" an event next weekend meant to remember the history of francophones in Canada.
"The answer is no," Charest said yesterday after the PQ chief noted the Liberal government's boycott of the readings, which would also commemorate the 250th anniversary of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham.
