Where did you go?
My wife, Rita, and I did some credit card damage on Rue Bernard Ouest, a strip of independent boutiques and popular restaurants in Montreal's Mile End. The neighbourhood is a multicultural, largely anglophone, hipster enclave at the northwest end of the Plateau Mont-Royal. West of Rue Hutchison, in the mixed francophone and Hasidic Jewish area of the posh Outremont borough, Rue Bernard Ouest becomes Avenue Bernard.
