From The CBC:The Parti Quebecois's youth wing will hand out free party membership cards to Quebec students this fall.
Most federal and provincial parties request a $5 contribution in return for party membership.
Alexandre Theriault-Marois, vice-president of political affairs for the youth wing, says the goal is to interest more students in politics and to boost falling electoral participation rates.

My Comment: I cannot help myself but to laugh. Something with no value has no value .... at least $5.00 is symbolic enough to have value. But the PQ do not see it that way.
