Quebec says some women should take early maternity leave to prevent swine flu.

Montreal Quebec public health authorities are now recommending that pregnant women who work in daycares, schools and hospitals take advantage of the government's early maternity leave program to reduce the risk of catching the H1N1 flu virus.
“Yes, this program exists and yes, women can apply for it – not systematically, as in ‘I’m a pregnant woman and a teacher,’ but after a discussion with a doctor,” said Alain Poirier, national director of the Quebec Public Health Department.
