Montreal's Iranian Community Calls Tehran Election A 'Fraud'

MONTREAL – The outrage and anger that sent hundreds of thousands of Iranians onto the tumultuous streets of Tehran propelled more than 300 Montreal protesters to mass under a rain-soaked sky in the plaza of Place des Arts Monday night – to echo an identical message.

“These (election) results are a fraud, they are fake,” declared Azi Vaziri, a 27-year-old marketing specialist, one of hundreds of Iranian-Canadians who turned up at short notice to signal their fury in pouring rain.
