Harel Refuses To Take Responsibility For her Own Actions -- Montreal Gazette
That was some scathing critique of the megacity in Thursday's Gazette. It said Montreal was in the throes of "chaos" and "dysfunction." It assailed the "insidious malaise that is slowly paralyzing Quebec's only world-class city."
Of all the criticisms of the megacity I've seen (and written), none goes so far. "Chaos" is a strong word.
And here's what's most remarkable. The author of this un-nuanced blast is Louise Harel, mother of the forced mergers of 2002 and now a leading mayoral candidate.
