What's Open And Closed On Labour Day

    MONTREAL, Sept. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - Several Montréal municipal facilities
will be open on Labour Day, while others will be operating on reduced
schedules or closed on September 7, 2009.
Most municipal offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, including
borough and Accès-Montréal offices as well as local service points. Citizens

Garbage, recycling and bulky item pickups
-----------------------------------------

Household garbage, recycling and bulky item pickup will take place as
usual in all the boroughs where pickup is on Monday.
Bulky item pickup is cancelled in the following boroughs: Plateau-Mont-
Royal, Rosemont--La Petite-Patrie and Villeray--Saint-Michel--Parc-Extension.

Sports and cultural facilities
------------------------------

Arenas, swimming pools, sports centres, libraries and cultural centres
also follow varied schedules set by their respective boroughs. Citizens are
asked to contact personnel at these facilities to check on days and times of
operation.

Science facilities
------------------

The Biodôme (4777, avenue Pierre-De Coubertin) will be open from 9 a.m.

The Montréal Planetarium (1000, rue Saint-Jacques) will be open from

and 4581, rue Sherbrooke Est) will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Information:

Other facilities

The Montréal municipal court (775, rue Gosford), as well as the service

Public markets will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Information: 514

Marché Bonsecours (350, rue Saint-Paul Est) will be open from 10 a.m. to

Pointe-à-Callière, Montréal Museum of Archaeology and History, will be

The Claude-Robillard sports complex is closed, except for the outdoor
tennis courts, which will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
