Grace Period For New Passport Rules

As of June 1, Canadians need a valid passport to travel to the U.S. by land, air or sea.

From CTV:

Although Monday marks the first day of strict new border rules between Canada and the United States, Canadians are still able to cross the border without a passport.

American border security agents told CTV Montreal there will be a grace period for an undetermined period of time, but it will most likely run until the end of the summer.
