Quebec Doubles Tax Credit For Non-Canadian Filmmakers Who Shoot Here

The Quebec government is increasing its tax credit for foreign filming in the province from 25 per cent of labour expenses to 25 per cent of all spending. Given that labour expenses usually make up about one-half of the budget of a film or TV production, this measure effectively doubles the film and TV tax credit and the measure is expected to have a huge positive impact on the amount of Hollywood filming in the province.
