Cabbies leave their personal vehicles in residential areas while they work.

Q: I have noticed that some taxi companies use residential streets to park their taxis during off hours. In streets which have taxi stands, this can mean that a large proportion of street parking is taken up by the taxi stand, the off-duty taxis and the taxi drivers' private cars. Shouldn't the taxi companies be housing their taxis in their garages?
