Divisive Play On Israeli History Gets Canadian Premiere In Montreal

A controversial new play about Israeli history that has been slammed by some as anti-Semitic and praised by others as thought-provoking is set to make its Canadian premiere in Montreal.

Seven Jewish Children — A Play for Gaza is a 10-minute performance by British playwright Caryl Churchill, inspired in part by the most recent Gaza conflict.

It is being staged for the first time in Canada on Sunday at the Geordie Space in Montreal at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time. It is being read in both French and English.
