Flu Virus 'All Over The Place' In Quebec

As of Monday, there were 17 confirmed cases of H1N1 flu virus in Quebec.

17th case found in province, health official says.


QUEBEC – A 17th case of H1N1 swine flu in the province has been confirmed at Collège Charlemagne in Montreal’s West Island Pierrefonds suburb.

And Dr. Alain Poirier, Quebec’s national director of public health, said yesterday the virus, which appears to be of “low severity,” now is “all over the place.”

“There will be thousands of cases,” he said. “We are really happy that it is not a severe disease.”
