Canadiens Snap Losing Skid -- Montreal Gazette

Beat Thrashers 2-1 in Bell Centre shootout.

On Monday, the Canadiens’ defenceman said the team was ready to break out of its losing streak and, when it did, it would do so with a tight defensive effort.

“It will be something like 1-0 and 2-1,” he suggested.

Well, 2-1 it was but it took goals from Scott Gomez and Brian Gionta in the shootout to snap the Canadiens’ five-game losing streak at the Bell Centre Tuesday night.
