The intense publicity swirling around alleged fraudster Earl Jones could be jeopardizing his chances of getting a fair trial, his lawyer said Friday.
Jeffrey Boro, who appeared in court on behalf of the seldom-seen Jones, said the Crown intends to lay new charges against the former Montreal financial advisor accused of orchestrating a Ponzi scheme.
Those charges could be ready by Jones's next court date in January.
