One-Third Of Canadians Say The Habs Are Canada's Team, Says Poll

The Montreal Canadiens are the "greatest hockey team in history," according to almost half of Canadians surveyed in a poll released Tuesday and conducted for the Historica-Dominion Institute.

A total of 47 per cent, believe Montreal's NHL franchise is the "greatest hockey team in history" and 33 per cent consider it to be the country's national hockey team, according to the poll, which was conducted by Ipsos Reid.

My Comment: I cannot even think of cheering The Toronto Maple Leafs .... or for that matter .... any other team. (with the exception of the Montreal Alouettes this week).
