Remembering The École Polytechnique de Montréal Massacre 20 Years Ago

At Parc Emilie Gamelin, women were invited to participate in a human chain and vigil at the park to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Polytechnique massacre. What Are Your Memories Of Dec. 6, 1989? -- The Montreal Gazette

Several events are planned for Sunday to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the shooting at the École Polytechnique de Montréal, in which 14 women were killed.

Members of the public are invited to come and pay their respects all weekend at the plaque honouring the victims on the campus of the Université de Montréal, where the Polytechnique is located, at 2900 Edouard Montpetit Blvd., Montreal (Université de Montréal metro station). The plaque will be decorated with flowers for the occasion.
