Quebec To Hold Consultations On Greenhouse Target

QUEBEC – Environment Minister Line Beauchamp announced Thursday that the National Assembly will hold public consultations before setting Quebec’s 2020 target for greenhouse-gas reduction.

Beauchamp said she wants an “ambitious” target, sketching scenarios for a reduction of as much as 20 per cent.

My Comment: I have been involved in environmental work since the mid 1980s when I worked on acid rain. This argument on controlling green house gases is such a scan .... taking even the best estimates from those who promote this policy, there will be no impact at all on greenhouse gases for the next few decades ... and even then. But for now, it would mean that the government would only tax us more for what little money we have left.

Unfortunately, there is no one in Quebec who is willing to argue on the science of greenhouse gases, so they get away with this policy.
