ONTREAL – For Lili-Anna Peresa, Dec. 6, 1989, was a call to action.
Peresa was a 25-year-old graduate of the École Polytechnique when Marc Lépine killed 14 women there in an anti-feminist rampage.
Touched to the core, Peresa quit her well-paying job as an engineer to became a humanitarian aid worker in countries torn apart by poverty and war.
