The Olympic Torch May Not Pass Through Kahnawake

Deal To Allow Mohawk Peacekeepers To Escort Olympic Torch Through Kahnawake Still Not Approved -- Montreal Gazette

Political uncertainty over the Olympic torch’s scheduled visit Tuesday through the Mohawk community of Kahnawake has risen to the highest levels of the RCMP.

The senior brass has been asked to approve a deal worked out by lower levels of the RCMP. As of early Monday afternoon, a final decision still hadn’t been made on the deal.

My Comment: This paints Kahnawake in a bad light .... again. If the organizers of the Olympic torch have any balls .... they should just bypass the reservation.
