MONTREAL - Hydro-Québec boss Thierry Vandal is being called on the carpet because the public utility is charging 120,000 of its residential customers sums ranging up to several hundred dollars more each because of a computer glitch.
They are customers who use Hydro’s equalized monthly payment service. Their monthly bills now in the mail are 20 per cent to 60 per cent higher than usual and will remain so for the next year.
