Isotope Setback For Quebec Hospitals

Quebec hospitals were dealt another setback in their attempts to deal with the shortage of medical isotopes Monday when the cyclotron at Sherbrooke University Hospital was shut down for maintenance.

Many hospitals have been using the sodium fluoride isotopes produced by the cyclotron to pick up some of the slack from the lack of radioactive medical isotopes.
